Like the doors having the racing number on.
For the brave, the very, very brave:

The good part? It's in IJmuiden, so you can hop on the ferry from Newcastle to IJmuiden to pick it up. That's the easy part, I suppose.
I know two addresses where skilled bodyworkers can make this into a new car again. Both are capable bodyworkers (one restores vintage Bugattis)

Could you race this in historic events if there's no Chassis number?
If you could, the estimate looks low, if not, it seems a VERY, VERY brave purchase.
I guess someone may take a punt and hope they can come up with history for it.
Although, on further examination, there are a lot of bits there.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I discussed this AM with the guys at the workshop. The idea is that it's a Superlegerra indeed. If that's the case, welding will be very, very difficult... We had one in the workshop about 10 yrs ago. I remember that opening the bonnet felt like opening a newspaper: wafer-thin and super-light. Very easy to fold, bend or worse. Welding that is an ART.
The good part is that running gear (clutch, g/box etc) is from Jaguar!
Menno
Good T-Cut and a set of 'traders trims' and in the paper Sunday.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Off to convince the wife I need a new project!
Definitely having that if I win the Euromillions tonight.
EDIT: I didn't. Hey ho!

Historic racing car identities can be a real minefield. This would be a real gamble.
I see it didn't reach its reserve.
