    Interesting Youtube Channels

Anyone got any good Youtube channels to view? I like to watch some on my tablet. Here are a few I watch:

SV Delos - sailing channel of a boat sailng round world - almost like a travel documentary. Sail-life also good on a sailboat restoration.
Thoughty2 - once a month or so video on some irreverent topic - always put together well.
Smartereveryday - great science based channel, always well researched and interesting
PBS Spacetime - all things space - very detailed
Colin Furze - just nuts usually some crazy engineering contraption
NerdWriter1 - interesting observations from film, TV, arts

Plus lots more - anyone got any good suggestions to look at?

p.s. TED has loads of great videos - view them through TED App

Hydraulic Press Channel and "Beyond The Press", both run by a Finnish couple who do daft experiments with stuff that's generally very hot, heavy, and dangerous. For when you want to watch Smarter Every Day, but you're worried you might actually learn something.

Also Petrolicious for beautifully shot, generally vintage car films.

AvE - pulls apart all sorts of tools and electrical products to see how they work, then rebuilds or mods, also tests and reviews many tools.

JoergSprave (The Slingshot Channel) is fantastic. He makes some mental (and lethal) bits and pieces, very funny guy too; *Thick German accented growl* "Lemme show you its features... hahaha".

I used to play high stakes poker with a chap named Paul, he now streams online casino sessions under the name "RocknRolla". Probably pretty boring to most but they can be quite fun to watch.

Very funny guy "Hooooold.... Let's Go!"

I've never played against him but he strikes me as a top numbers man, mind you he relies on the HUD for almost all the big decisions.

If you like AvE, the BigClive is some home grown talent.

Always enjoy Ashens for some geeky goodness.

Paul Sellers woodworking, old school British craftsman sharing his knowledge about tools and joinery projects.

Glove and Boots (hysterical glove puppets)

Lindybeige (affable madman talks about weapons and history)

Ashens (crazy eating of ancient food)

Goodmythicalmorning (two yanks wax lyrical on everyday topics)

British Pathe can be a great time-spender.

Typically you start off doing a year-of-birth search, then you see something that catches your eye and thereafter it becomes a rabbit-hole of interesting stuff.

    Does anyone bother with Pew-Die-Pie?

I watched a few of his gaming vids (walkthroughs, completions, secrets etc) on the xbox 360 years ago, but after stumbling across his channel again the other night I can honestly say I would feed myself my own eyes than watch a full video of his rambling these days.

I believe he was the first You-Tube millionaire and fair play to him, he puts the work in, but I find him seriously hard to watch these days.

Nope. His racist anti Semitic faux pas would not make me want to either.

I just discovered this on the youtube thanks to you. Am actually crying at the AHA Take On Me recital. I daren't look at any of the others. Comedy gold.

EDIT: Good CHRIST Ave Maria topped it by some margin. This reminds me of when I first discovered one could access pornography on the internet. Or something.

    A few I've enjoyed:

Zurichminds: Similar to TED talks (mini lectures by the experts).
Guido Warnecke: Private jet pilot shares his GoPro flying videos taking you "in the cockpit" with jets and turboprop aircraft world-wide - with live ATC.
Davie McPhail: Expert fly tying by one of the greats. (I've never fly-fished but find his work amazing - mini works of art - and his vids are very relaxing for some strange reason)
