I wouldn't personally as you have already had a DSSD and moved on from it! In my opinion your GMT is the nicer watch! But then again opinions are just that!
Good luck with it.

I'm very tempted but I have had the DSSD in the past and it's no where near as comfortable as the GMT.
I would be getting a newer watch however with what many would consider far better build quality.
Some of the big retailers do have similar aged GMT Master II's priced higher than the DSSD.
Blinking ek..

I'd go for it personally. If it's a straight swap.
But then again, it's your watch and your wrist it's going on.
Keep the GMT-Master.
Next!
Nahh, you need to hold tight and save for the DSSD, they come up for sale pretty cheap (when compared to other Rolex models).
Definitely keep the GMT.
Keep the GMT, they’re appreciating all the time

Is this your daily wear? DSSD is a big old case and might prove uncomfy if so
I have both and that is a tough call and would not have clue in your position.
I think keep the GMT and sell a kidney
Pitch
Im the other way, much as I love the GMT and appreciate it might grow a little stronger I do find them too fragile and thin on the wrist. Off the wrist (oh Matron) I think its one of the most attractive watches ever made.
But in this race I chose DSSD
RIAC
no,no and NO
Deepsea on nato
A comparison.
My old DSSD
And my current GMT
vs a standard DSSD, keep the GMT. All day.
I'm with Kerry mate... as much as I love a GMT, and my mate bought his beautiful 1675 round yesterday, they do feel a tad light and look slight on the wrist. I love a DSSD, but you've been there before so why go back? Next thing you'll be buying another B50 or emergency !!
GMT all day long
The pictures speak for themselves.
The GMT looks at home on your wrist.
Keep that gmt Pepsi
I've not seen either in the flesh, but the GMT sounds like it's at home on your wrist and the DSSD is simply an intruder. Happiness is a warm watch, and it doesn't sound like the DSSD would get much warming wrist time!
The DSSD is well built - the bezel clicks like the sight on a target rifle or the winding lever on a Leica M series camera, and it's a pleasure to use. The adjustable clasp is pretty well thought out - but it needs to be, because the watch itself is massive - bigger and heavier than needed. I originally wanted a 16600 SD, but I'm very happy with my choice and wouldn't change it for a 16600 now.
About the only recent Rolex I'd even consider swapping for my GMT II is the SD4000 - the size is still reasonable, the lume is better than the GMT, and it doesn't have a cyclops; and of the older models, I'd consider a trade for a 1665 Great White, or a Milsub 5517 with sword hands. But the 16710 is one of the best and most versatile models Rolex has ever built. And no other manufacturer does that function better - even the 116710 isn't as good - too bloated, and its bezel is 24-click rather than 120-click, which makes good for time zone changes but no good for timing your boiled eggs.

Keep the GMT
I recently owned an amazing 16710 Pepsi, after having owned most newer Rolex I always found the bracelet a bit light and much less solid than the newer ones. I eventually made my mind up and sold it, the money I got for it virtually paid for a brand new 116710 BLNR which I am much happier with, although I am tempted to brush the PCL's out!
Ultimately its all down to individual taste, but currently the thread seem to favour the GMT, as for ''design classic '', my opinion is that Rolex got the design right early on, somewhat like Jaguar with the E-Type, current Jaguars are quicker and more reliable, but I doubt they will someday called ''design classics'', as I say merely an opinion.

GMT. You wear it rather than it wearing you like the DSSD.
GMT. No question.
Nooooooo
