    Zenith Primero Grande Class Service

Lovely movement but the hands were on ridiculously tightly.
Removing them broke the chronograph wheel and bent the hour and minute hands.
The replacement chronograph hand had to be broached open before it would even fit over it's pivot !

This seems to be happening more and more. I think deliberately so that the watch has to be sent back to the maker.

Are they using a bit of loctite on the spindle/shaft as well?

They are just being made with holes far too small. No loctite !
It took me over an hour to refit the new hands accurately.
I hate it when dates change anywhere except at midnight or very very close to !!

I amazes me how you don't end up bending the spindle you mount the hands on during the refit.

I have a special tool which presses perpendicularly down on the hands, otherwise I probably would !

Also tapping the hands on with a hammer, the Breitling method.

Sounds like these hands are DEFINITELY an INTERFERENCE fit!
