    King Seiko

I have this watch for half a year or so and 2 months ago intented to put it up for sale. I thought, before selling it; let's wear it to see if it really has to go. Since then its almost the only watch it wear :-) What a great and simple design!

Forgive the ignorance but what's the difference between a King Seiko and a Grand Seiko?

Gorgeous watch. Let's see how the 7548 gets on in competition!

I intend to buy a KS very shortly..

There are threads about this but I believe they were the products from two competing Seiko factories.

These are still a bargain classic, aren't they (just about). The hands and markers are just right.

That's what I understood. Differences? As far as I know very few at least as far as it concernes the hanwound no date types. After a period Seiko decided that GS became the high end line. The KS' slowly went out of production. This older KS' types are very well designed and made. The date versions can have problems with the date, no spareparts and not to strong it seems.
