Thread: Grand Seiko Hi Beat GMT

    Grand Seiko Hi Beat GMT

I have been trying to get a Grand Seiko Hi Beat for a while. In spring I was in Tokyo but I didn't find a nice one.

But a couple of weeks ago I found a very nice white dial.

I have now three GMT from Seiko:

And although the two Grand Seiko GMT may look redundant, they are very different both in style and in the white dial.

And a link to a vimeo video

The smoothness of the Hi Beat second hand is obvious..

That's a lovely GS, and a watch I've been hankering to complete my collection. Thanks for sharing the video too - really highlights the beauty of the spring drive sweep!

Great video, really nice to contrast the SD & the HiB.

    Thanks.

Lovely watch, but could do with omitting 'Hi-Beat' (for me)

Beautiful watches - and I prefer the old GS branding. Quirky, not perfect but sublime anyway. :)

It's the MM600 that does it for me!

I have a desire for an SBGJ001 but I'm concerned it may be a little too thick on the wrist. I'm due in a GS boutique in October so I'll give it a whirl.

    Borrowed piccy...

I have tiny wrists, but it is ok. I think if it were a smaller or had different shaped lugs it might be.

I regret selling mine and have been toying with the idea of buying another. The dial is stunning on these:
