I spoke to the venue again and they are going to do the usual £5 a head buffet. I’ve ordered it for 15 people which is probably too many - Alec I hope your street is hungry again.

(The lad I'm out on the pi55 with is the same one who won Fords Patek Philippe leather coaster last year. Still proudly displayed despite him NOT owning a watch!)

I seem to recall he owns or co-owns or certainly has a financial interest in a little pawnbrokers in Middleton doesn't he?
I may have to work tomorrow so would struggle to get over to MCR, pity as i enjoyed the last GTG (my first).
Let me know if you need a donation for the food if it was ordered per head on the basis of who said they'd be attending...

Well I’m just back from my mission. I’ve either just put a letter through Ford’s letterbox (no Soundood action) or a person in a random house is now wondering what a TZ GTG means!
I reckon it was his house - it had a stained glass window featuring a parrot.
Ah good point that, Kirk let me have payment details for food in case I can’t get away from work tomorrow I wouldn’t leave anyone out of pocket

Another great GTG chaps, albeit calmer than the last one! Fantastic to meet old mates and see some new faces.
And guess what? Even Burnsey turned up!
Unclealec will be putting the remains of the buffet on SC later this evening.
Gutted I couldn’t go, if not just to hear the bar staffs stories of my last visit although there where some lovely watches on display last time too.
I am so sorry, I didn't realise that was what I was supposed to do with the food; Babs & I have eaten it all.
Great to see everyone again and for the first time in a couple of cases. Didn't manage to have a chat with Mike which is a shame, but the other end of the room was awash with interesting talk and superb timepieces. Specially pleased to have met the legend that is Burnsey.
