    MIL-W-46374D Spring bars

Hi I am looking for a bit of advice regarding a 46374D.

The other day the spring bar popped out of the lug whilst flexing my wrist.
On closer inspection the lug hole in one lug is a completely different depth to the others on the watch. This means the spring bar end does not sit in the hole but is compressed and is only kept in place with friction.

This picture shows the depth of the 3 standard holes on the watch.

This picture shows the lug hole causing the problem. The hole is quite a bit shallower when compared to the other 3.

They used these type of spring bars originally, I have tried other types but the problem remains. Not enough depth in the hole for the spring bar to sit inside.

This picture shows the spring bar sitting the deeper hole.

As you can see in the other hole the spring bar does not sit inside as there is not enough depth.

Any ideas on what I can do to stop the spring bar popping out?

    Cheers

    John

    Drill a deeper hole?

Not meant to be facetious - is that something you could do yourself? Pretty tricky to get the angle and size of drill right. I guess you need something like a dentist's drill.

It had crossed my mind but I don't have access to the right sort of drill. I would destroy the case with my Bosh.
More thinking 2 part appoxy / glue / other spring bars or other alternatives.
