    W1A - new series

This nearly escaped my attention but I spotted it by chance in a TV guide, so a heads up for any fans here. The 3rd series starts tomorrow (Mon 18th) on BBC2 at 10pm, of course it'll also be on catchup for 30 days.

Excellent news. Thanks for the heads up.

    Got this set already.

I loved Twenty-Twelve and the previous series of W1A. It's got a similar vibe to The Thick Of It, which was utterly brilliant.

    All good!

Great stuff, Siobhan Sharpe is one of the best comedy characters of recent years, great to see her back on the screen.

It's so funny. I'm going to ration it via than BBC 2 rather see it all online.

I didn't really enjoy that episode last night, until the last ten seconds maybe.

It seems to be getting stale, repetitive and unimaginative. I won't be too bothered about making sure I catch the next one and will be taking it off "series record".

The meeting scene in particular went on for far too long with very little content. This is entirely down to the writers. The characters are awesome, the actors are doing their bit but with very thin dialogue.

    Disappointed.

I won't be watching it again, 2012 was good but this seems to exist solely so Radio 4 and 5 presenters can reference it for the rest of the week.

David Tennant's commentary was annoying me within five minutes of the start and the joke's getting a bit old now.

Well that was crap. A poor pastiche of itself.

I picked the last in the series up on iPlayer (in advance as I don't think it has been aired yet) and it was brilliant. It suddenly came alive with interest, very enjoyable.

If you are into the characters and plot to some extent, I can highly recommend this last episode, it's a belter.

A lot of build up though for one 30 minute episode...

I haven't seen the final episode yet. I've found this series enjoyable but not as funny as before and the format has become slightly tired. Hopefully This Country will get a new series and will be shown on mainstream, as that's hysterically funny and deserves a bigger audience.

Hopefully the next series will be in a new context - Brexit, maybe.

No, that's far too toxic for the BBC to touch.

It'll be seen by someone with an axe to grind as 'political bias' (even Strictly is!), however they play it.
