    Loupe Guidance

As I get older I'm starting to struggle to see the finer details on watches and my small coin collection.

I don't have hundreds of pounds to spend but I would like the best quality Loupe I can buy for circa £50, as that amount will make it a great birthday present (mother always gives me £50) to spend.

I've seen a few for much than that on sales corner, but outside my budget.

Also not sure what magnification I need

    Really appreciate any guidance provided

    Thank you

Michael (46 and almost 47 ha ha)

    Look no further ;)

My staff and I use one of these. Can't get better for the money imo.

I think the trading co. might be USA, but the actual co. is Belorussian. The shipping page mentions despatch from Europe or USA. I wouldn't expect to pay anything because of low value. I bought a loupe from the Belorussian company some time ago and so probably why I am on the mailing list. This time I've just ordered a leather case for the loupe. It's something like $10.

I've had one of these for 10+ years. 5x and 10X. Made in Korea. £3 from Jessops, I think. (For those who don't want to spend £50.)

    Works very well.

Is anyone else having issues ordering directly? Kaspersky keeps flagging the checkout shipping page as malicious & won't allow it to progress.

PayPal also put a temporary hold on my payment to them for a few days. Might have been a random check, but the last time they did this was on suspicion of sending money to Syria due to a word used in the product!

I placed an order earlier today, but still no confirmation.

Do you think 20x loupe might be a bit too much?

This seems like it would do the job just fine. Going to pop into Jessops, (auto corrected to Jessica lmao)

Surely seeing it is a good thing? Means its been placed and they have it. Or?

I bought one, a 10x triplet direct though the website last week and it arrived this morning. I paid by paypal with no issues at all. The loupe itself is pretty high quality, I haven't compared it yet to my existing US made triplets (which cost twice the price) but it looks well made with none of the obvious colour fringing which affects the cheap rubbish you see for a tenner or less elsewhere. The focus point may be slightly closer than I am used to but this isn't a massive issue. The leather case was a waste of money, it is good quality but is far too big for the loupe rendering it pretty useless so I wouldn't recommend it.

No colour fringing on my dual-lens £3 "rubbish" ... and the case fits.

    Got mine today.
I'm not sure I've ever had a "made in Belarus" product before.
Pleased (even if it was more than £3!). Thanks for the recommendation.

Mine's arrived - the very plastic eye loupe 10x one rather than the folding ones as I liked the idea of hands free use! In reality it's rather challenging to get to stay put and the actual focused area is tiny within the lens. But its functional for a tenner, or whatever it cost.

I am glad you like yours but for what I do for a living a dual lens cheapie just won't cut it...

I too ordered 20x. It only works at a very very close distance so not much light in. I don’t think it was made for watches... Sent it back. They weren’t happy about it, but hopefully will refund in full.

    This 10x Celestron

From all loupes I’ve tried in the last year (including Loupe System and Nikon), this was most useful. Not bad for £7!

Belomo - good value for money, bad customer care!
