Back in July, I bought a lovely Omega 2255 80 from Numberjack (who was a total gent). It was in super shape and, as the original sales thread below shows, it had been around the forum a few time. The little minx.

It had a few battle scars and most particularly a white tip to the second hand of note.
I felt strangely responsible as an owner of a watch that many here have enjoyed, so I decided to take it for a full omega makeover and it came back today, two months later, mintier than a polo.
I think it's absolutely stunning and it feels genuinely good to revive a watch that's been a favourite of many good people here. Plus, I honestly love it. The blue is mesmerising. Can't. Stop. Staring.

It is a lovely example. Does anyone know why Omega produced the blue dial with a steel bezel but the black dial with a black bezel?

Looks awesome. I had my much loved 2254.50 redone by Omega and it too came back looking incredible.
I've read a few times them getting a slating, but I have to say I'm very impressed by Omega (Swatch). The service I've received has been great, the end result outstanding and the price very fair.

The seconds hand never really bothered me but seeing it now , so much better.

Here's mine, which came with the Bond bracelet. Can't recall the reference number of the watch in this configuration, but the dial is the star of the show!

I very nearly bought one of these off the forum a couple of years back, and regret being a few minutes slow! Looks absolutely superb if you ever decide to move it on etc etc....!
Nice to see an SMP with proper hands. It's a shame that their marketing department developed so much influence on design. They ruined the SMP with James Bond and are now doing the same to the Speedmaster with the numerous limited editions.

Looking great - just as it should! Well done, that man.
Sadly bereft of funds at the moment so can't indulge myself.
The blue dial with sword hands is a real winner. Pops under the cuff easily yet you notice them from 10ft away . To my mind the Seamaster is as instantly recognisable as a Sub or a Royal Oak.
