    My Grand Cherokee V6 CRD matched the Land Rovers at 3500kg, but with regards to the Japanese, I seem to remember the plucky Diahatsu Fourtrak was surprisingly 3500kg, whilst the larger and more powerful LWB Shogun 3.2 DI-D was rated at 3300kg.

    What I've found about that in NL on various websites: it could be related with the producer of the tow bar. A few cars overhere had a different number during their production run 3500 -> 2800 -> 3500kgs.

    Rather rare for us to have a free afternoon but it gave us the chance to spend a bit of time on the old bus.
    Totally stripped down the old self fitted load cover, we managed to recycle most of the frame and angle sections.
    Good rub down and respray and bolted back up with checker plate and new stainless fixings.
    It's given us some load space and a compartment to chuck the spare tyre rather than having it on show.

    Yep she’s on the road but as is the norm with older Landies theyre a work in progress.
    Developed a fuel leak, oil leak and needs some suspension work now.... hey ho
