Keep these coming. It helps me to show my wife that someone else has more clutter than I do. Yesterday I bought a lawn edger for £4. A bargain. Except that we live in a sixth-floor apartment.
You just never know what you will find.
First stall I bought this pair of Victorian cut glass candle snuffers. Don't ask me why ?
A few stalls later this Lemania 100th minute/1 hour recorder. Probably used by JLec to make you work faster !
Then a Tissot ladies integral bracelet watch on its original box
Then this remarkable little walrus bone ring box which Im told was made by a sailor on the amazing Challenger Expedition 1872-6 which launched Oceanography.
And next this rather used Victorian bedside clock with a French platform movement and enamel dial.
Finally a working model of a petrol engine. Pistons move and spark plugs light up.
Why do I buy this stuff ??
Almost forgot ! An oil filled ships compass useful when I can afford a yacht
All these items are now on my eBay shop.
More next week I'm afraid....

The joys of car boots, it always amazes me what people get rid off.
Watches and engines (cars) the best boys toys combo :D
Brendan must be going to a better class of car boot sales than me. Guess that's what you get living Down South rather than Up North 😀

Some nice finds there. The little clock is my favourite, followed by the compass. And that Tissot is a gem too.
Got this last week. Vintage divers compass.
Saw one on a divers forum where one guy said they were issued to US Navy rescue teams.
Also got a brand new fawn coloured Peccary leather strap, put it on my vintage Exactus.
Interesting haul. Some tasty profits will be had there.

Great Collection. I purchased this box yesterday at the boot sale. It was full of costume jewellery. I asked how much for the box on its own. The good lady replied 50p! I gave her 60p and said keep the change.

I have this atop a cabinet at home! Bought the kit a few years ago just because it was half price. Putting it together and eventually seeing it working turned out to be surprisingly rewarding. Time consuming though as even the pistons (for example) didn't come as single pieces and required assembly. At the end of it all I fully understood the working of a 4 stroke engine.
great read, love a boot sale bargain

Only did a car boot once as a seller, couldn’t be bothered with the busy bodies practically climbing into my boot as we setup. Would rather give it all to charity.
