Hope it’s as good as it sounds - I’ve just ordered Eau de Parfum Spray 100ml

Sounds a good deal for £34.50

Ours arrived yesterday - Aventus for me, different packaging than buying direct but certainly smells exactly the same. Very pleased. Got a Creed for the wife as well, can’t compare as she didn’t have one before, however smells great.

I liked Happy when it came out but years later it seems to have no longevity. I literally couldn’t get 4hours out if it.

Just arrived Encre Noire Extreme... and its truly awful. A massive mistake blind buy. It reminds me of Anchorman - Sex Panther https://youtu.be/We04Ej-mgXk

I might give it away for a fundraiser or something.

I bought it from allbeauty.com - hope its not a fake or something?

What exactly is everyone seeing in the Encre Noir Extreme? I'm not getting it. Burnt rubber in the distance is how I'd pitch it. If that's what the manufacturer was aiming for they nailed it.

I tried creed royal Mayfair in John Lewis at the weekend, wasn't sure at first but after a few minutes I found it to be truly gorgeous. Might get some from scent samples for weekend wear. Still loving Aventus too and Tom Ford Neroli Portofini as a daily scent.
I did try Tera De Hermes based on feedback here and whilst nice it's not as good as anything from creed in my opinion

I walked past a guy coming out of his hotel room last night, who was reeking of Jazz!

Memories of boogying on down at the discotheque in the 80s came flooding back through my nostrils!

Scent Samples - 20% off code - BLACK20 - made the most of it and being an Aventus fan and a regular creed and green irish tweed wearer have decided to try himalay and bois du portugal

Was going to do the same and buy another 50ml of Aventus but noticed they had increased the price prior to the 20% discount. Naughty!

This thread has cost me a lot of money lol. I've now joined various fragrance forum's and signed onto a couple of bottle splits on Basenotes. For the uninitiated, this involves buying a share of a bottle (in my case a 250ml of Milliseme Imperial & Green Irish Tweed). Once all the slots are filled, the split organiser purchases, decants and posts out fragrance. Obviously a high level of trust is required but I've done a fair amount of research and all looks legit. The guys on Basenotes are as fanatical about fragrance as we are about watches on here so anything untoward would be quickly called out I suppose.
If anyone's interested just take a look at the splits section. Most splits are in the US but one guy (Palmolive) is based in the UK.

Try fragcomm uk on Facebook. Great place to buy and sell. Good for Decants and splits which save a fortune.

Currently in love with tom ford tuscan leather, but as a daily wearer, its rather expensive, so currently wearing monotheme leather as a daily wearer alternative, keeping the TF for weekends.

I like Comme des Garcons - Floriental. Or at least the gf likes it... Personally, I think we are masking our natural odours and ending up with people we wouldn't be as attracted to due to a disguising of pheromones. :)

    Maybe not....

Love it too ...but man its strong , it gets onto everything. My girlfriend loves it because she can smell it on her all day even after a brief hug.

After trying loads of options I wear loccitaine in the day (you could wear anytime) and either Marc jacobs for men, paco rabanne XS or Hermes de Terre for a night out.

I was bought as a secret santa joke the beckham instinct a couple of years back and i really liked it.

My wife gets very amorous when I wear Bleu de Chanel :-)

I have however, sent off for 4 vials from Scent Sample:

    Neroli Portofino

    Tobacco Vanille
    Silver Mountain Water

I picked up a 5ml vial of the Tobacco Vanille a couple of weeks ago. It’s, errr, well, very tobaccoey. The vanilla goes quite quickly and leaves a softer, more rounded but very tobaccoey smell. It’s not unpleasant but I’m not really sure when/where I’m going to wear it again.

I’d be interested in others’ opinions as skin plays a big part in olfactive profile.

Oud wood and Neroli Portfofino are superb though.

I have a bottle of this in the fridge - I wonder if it would be a suitable substitute.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

I own a 100ml bottle of tobacco vanilla. It's not one I wear daily but for nights out this time of year in comes into it's own. Fantastic scent that the wife loves too.
