The first Seiko in my collection

The Seiko Samurai Blue Lagoon that I acquired the other day arrived this morning.

This is the first Seiko piece in the collection.

Tried it on, and even before I have adjusted the bracelet, I love it. This one is definitely a keeper.

Really want to like these but the hour hand puts me off.
    Dial colour is tempting though.

A lovely example of legibility and sense. I love Seikos, not had one of these though. Looks cracking. Enjoy!

Put a blue Colareb strap on it today while I'm waiting for some NATO straps to arrive. I think it looks quite nice.

Very nice... but you're on a slippery slope now!
So little time, and so many Seiko's.

Tell me about it. Bought another one as a beater watch within 2 days of this one. The wife has started pinching that one!

The first Seiko in my collection

    That's really nice.
Excuse my ignorance, but can you buy them in the UK ? Had a peep in a couple of Retailers, seen a Turtle and a Tuna, but yet to spy a Samurai.

I bought mine from a UK bricks and mortar retailer, they had two. Was told it was very limited.

I love Blue dials and this one is a stunning.

I will post a picture of mine.

This one was limited to 6,000, and were supposedly sold out.

They have released non-limited edition black, blue and Pepsi bezelled ones. The black I've seen over here, but not the others yet.

Saw a black one in John Lewis in my town on Saturday and in the shop I bought my blue one.

    Love Seiko's.

Looks lovely. I am very tempted by the Seiko Turtle with the red and blue (Pepsi) bezel.

That is lovely , I think the samurai is a reissue of an old model also named the samurai . I’ve tried to keep up with new Seiko models but they come so thick and fast it’s hard to keep up

    I have One, great watch.
Was happy to have found One in stock fairly locally, then when I got to the till the shopkeeper announced they were having a special 25% off day and promptly knocked 25% off the price !!!

Now that doesn't happen very often !

How does the samurai compare to the sumo , not sure if anyone has owned both or handled them both . They are very close in price and the sumo also comes in blue

the polish, finishing, weight and comfy, not to mention the movement..everything is one level up.

The Sumo is on a higher level, the finish especially is much nicer. Also you have upgraded movement. Style wise they're very different, on a personal level I think the Sumo feels and looks like a much more expensive watch, and one of Seiko's real triumphs. The Samurai reissue is more on a level with the reissue Turtle.
