Anyone know which watch has the best/loudest alarm?

Digital or mechanical - digital would be loudest I imagine although the Tudor advisor mechanical alarm makes a good fist of it I believe

Would probably have to be quartz as I think that a mechanical will be too expensive, just for a try-out.

I don't think I've ever slept through the alarm on my X33.

check out the vibrating alarm g-shocks.

they're a little on the big side but they're great for when you need a almost silent alarm to go off from your wrist.

The Omega X-33 with built in echo chamber - at 80dB is about as loud as a hairdryer or "Hoover".

And it it has a repeat function if not acknowledged first time round.

I do find my Breitling B-55 with vibration alert useful for meetings etc.

(But it to be brutally honest the alarm on any phone is much more adaptable and makes these watch alarms anachronistic - still fun though.)

bit of history on the X-33

I may be about to commit a horological faux pas here, but isn't that a Citizen?

bit of history on the X-33

Funny enough this comes up today!

I usually use the alarm on the Apple watch to wake me up. It is gentle (a harp playing soft wake up notes) but when I really need to wake up, I set up my X33 and leave it on the dresser like yesterday. That thing is LOUD!

Forgot to turn it off yesterday and sure enough it woke me up brutally this morning at 6....

I have not heard anything on any wrist that is louder...

I suppose it boils down to one's own hearing. My ex could hear a "hummer" in a box, in a draw but I couldn't.
I watched a U-tube of the X33 but didn't strike me as loud, though that could be something to do with the video maker.

What could be louder than an X-33?

    Two X-33s of course.

And for really deep sleepers... It must be a right racket at wake-up time on the ISS.

I use my apple watch as my main get up in the morning alarm. It's never failed to wake me up.
It's pretty loud... seeing as you can use it as a speaker phone too.

I'm pretty sure that my Vulcain is about as loud as it gets for mechanical alarm:

And its Cricket movement has been used in a heap of interesting and affordable older watches from the company; could be worth a look for one of those.

The old 80s digitals were the beasts. I had one that played a couple of dozen cheery tunes very loudly. Zeon made them loud.
