Correct me if I'm wrong but I think bambam might have meant that because it's a chronometer it might contain certification too. Was wondering myself. Also it feels a bit special this watch so maybe it could have a different box or something.

It will include a COSC certificate but a different box will mean a delay and higher cost so it's not going to happen.

I've just seen those too. Have to ask why those pics weren't also put up here though? Surely there's an eager audience on this forum that would really like and appreciate seeing those?
There might well be a very good reason so don't bite my head off - just asking.

Sorry I can’t get pics uploaded from Flickr via my phone but hopefully these links will work:

Links deleted as James_ has posted the pics. I’d say thanks to James but his patronising of me prevents it.

Well they've arrived and I'll be checking them and updating the site this week. Fedex charged £155 "clearance fee" for customs so don't complain about Royal Mail and Parcelforce.

Unless their are any nasty surprises, the selling price will be £245. Swiss Made, COSC and NSN; I don't think you'll find another with this pedigree.

If we're going to reserve numbers, I'd rather do it via the order process so Eddie isn't holding onto watches that someone may not order

I guess that's Eddie decision and I'm sure he has his view of whether long standing members are likely to make good on their statements of intent or not.

Well the other reason is that nobody said Go and post your numbers in this thread (which I kind of think is bit of cheek/nuisance to balloon the thread with) otherwise I would have beaten someone else to the punch for one of them...

Someone asked Eddie if we could reserve.
Some people waited for an answer to that
Other people just posted their preferences...

    Anyway...
I just noticed the Christmas Closure message that is still up on the store
I do hope Eddie's wife is doing much better now.
Puts it all in perspective really...

    <paste>
    Christmas Closure
I'm closing earlier this year and for this I apologise. My wife has been in hospital since 30 September 2017 with a badly broken leg and has now developed an infection in the operation wound which is failing to respond to antibiotics. This is obviously causing me some concern and, combined with continuing to work over the last 10 weeks and the strain of hospital visiting, I'm completely exhausted.

I'll add the re-opening date to this message when my wife's condition becomes clearer.

So in summary, you're just annoyed that someone picked your number before you?

Normally a message attached to your order can help secure a specific number from Eddie and ensures the first buyer gets their choice.

I don't think there is a big issue in people stating a preference for a particular number. Its not as if they would expect to get it and if the decision is that no number preference is given then everyone will be cool with it I think.

Its more that people are getting excited about an imminent release and this is a way to talk about it.

Of course we will all respect Eddie's decision either way and we all wish his wife well and a speedy recovery - that is the priority after all.

    That's what I reckon anyway.

Other than numbers, what else are people excited about with this watch? Personally, I'm thinking of a nice rubber strap to put on it. The PRS-17C looks great with a black rubber strap with yellow stitching. Wonder what colour detail will suit this one?

No. He's actually holding on to the watches for six months, all you get initially is the warranty card to stare at and lick. ;-)
