Reminds me of those steampunk efforts you see on QVC...
Now, if that was a Rolex, and you sent it in for service, they'd likely replace the case and bracelet without asking, and then charge you for the trouble.

Nor me, but for some people i.e. those that can have pretty much anything, it's not about owning the watch, but making it unique and theirs alone. If you can afford to customise a Patek like that, I guess you can afford a standard one as well. I like it.
Skill and unbelievable patience.
However the end result is very much a matter of taste.

Well it's more tasteful than the Patek Philippe "grandmaster chime" - which, it appears, was modelled on a Roman generals breastplate and a Franklin mint vase...
The craftsmanship involved with the nautilus, at the very least, elevates a watch to which l normally wouldn't give the time of day to something that interested me for a brief period.
I have to say it looks really beautiful, but then again I like engineering and can appreciate a talent/skill..

I'm sure if your beyond wealthy and bored of the normal old PP then this may be the way to go?!?! I think it looks better on my shotguns but each to their own I say!!

There was a thread a few months ago where one TZ member had his Panerai engraved, and that was stunning.
I'm assuming that this is the same engraver ?
It takes a real commitment on both sides to do this on a £30k watch, but I think the end result is superb.

What with all the bright YG Rolex bracelets and the heavily tattooed arms you see on this forum, this PP looks rather sedate.
I cannot see anything wrong with it. It is an example of top end engraving that I would love to see on my shotguns and the owner will have a bespoke body with the PP mechanism inside.
Truly beautiful methinks.

I am a guy who deeply appreciates the high-end engravers skill and I have seen some stunning and sensational examples over the years on both watch movements and shotguns. But I have to say that the absolutely gorgeous manufacturing quality of Patek Philippe watches needs no further embellishment in my opinion.
Was that gold he was shaving off?
Personally, IF I could afford the watch, no way would I want to put so MANY scratches on it...I'd probably also have to compulsively clean it all the time as no doubt all those crevices will get full of dirt, unless you live in a clean-room.
