    Range cookers

Buying a dual fuel 100cm range cooker this week.
Looking at spending up to around £1200 on one
Anybody got advice on decent makes to go for ? Looked at stoves and belling up to now
    Cheers Andy

My sister, and two friends bought Rangemaster range cookers, and all three are 'intensive' cooks. I was a bit critical when they bought them (the 'seemed' less well-built than the likes of Britannia etc)

But - All three have fared brilliantly! [forgot to say -they are now over 15yrs-old!!!!]

Get one with electric oven/gas hob(s). Side griddle is handy - as is plate-warming section.

If I was in the market for one - that's where my money would be going.

Check out the Stanley range. A bit ££ than some others but side by side better build quality. Changed from Rangemaster to the Stanley last year and very happy i did.

We went for a falcon last year (full electric with induction hob) and have been very happy with it indeed, pricey but the build quality is excellent

Just fitted a 110cm Rangemaster professional, it's great except the enamel black gas hob top is a bugger to keep clean, it constantly looks smeared, would definitely get a stainless steel top if I bought one again, but given they last a lifetime that is unlikely

Aga/Rayburn? Might need to stretch the budget

Check out Everhot. You'd need to add another £2k to your budget to get a good secondhand one, but they are gorgeous and seriously good cooking machines.

Or add £100k and look at Molteni.

Another vote for Rangemaster. I had a ceramic hob 110cm Toledo - absolutely brilliant.

    Cheers,

I used rangecookersdirect for mine. Price was good, delivery a shambles.
Went for a Falcon Continental dual fuel. Came in at £2360 including delivery and intstallation. I was looking at around your budget too but decided to increase it as most of the Falcon range are confines and this seemed relatively well proced. Good choice of colours too.
