I am trying to buy a new 2017 116610, what is the going rate for one at an AD? I have seen new/unused 2017 being sold at prices I believe to be above the mrrp.
Any help/advice would be great.

Ah, but you can't post a WTB there...
The going rate is about £6250, but there is a waiting list. Some dealers offer the watch at a premium if they have it in stock.
I should have been more clear in my post. I know the mrrp is £6250. My aim was to find out if the AD are selling them at a premium as well as the new/unused Grey dealers seem to be doing.
As others have said, ADs cannot charge over RRP but will maintain waiting lists for desirable models, hence why you never see them in shop windows. Any grey dealer or second hand dealer picking up a new watch will charge a premium, but they have the watch and will sell it to you today.
Take the ceramic Daytona as a perfect example, pay over the odds and jump the queues and be wearing it tomorrow or go on a 7 to 10 year waiting list, if you are lucky.
The examples at grey dealers will in the main have come from people getting theirs at RRP from the AD and then immediately selling for a profit.
Estoban mentioned it. I also spoke with an AD who was rather cagey when discussing price.
If you want one from an AD get on a waiting list (I'm on one and hope yo get one in the next few months).
They have to sell at the price set by Rolex, unlike grey dealers who can charge a hefty premium.....
Assuming its a 116610LN the OP is chasing, its a standard current Rolex sub date.
The waiting list should be short and there's surely no need to pay over the RRP unless its the wife's birthday in 2 days and you've forgotten to put the bins out this week?
Hello,
It's Sunday, my fractured elbow is still sore and I didn't sleep well, so I'm Mr Grumpy,
OP you've been a forum member for 4 years, hasn't anything sunk in?

I suspect where some of the confusion comes from is so many high street jewellers expanding into the world of pre-owned watches, where one branch maybe a Rolex AD selling brand new watches at RRP, you then have another branch/chain of jewellers you might expect to be an AD with a display of used Rolex in the window, potentially marked up above RRP.
