    Sherry cask whisky is good for this as has been mentioned by others... I tend to go for Oloroso casks for a richer flavour although I tried one that had been in Fino casks that was also pretty good. Tomatin do some intersting ones.

    Another option if you can find it is a whisky that has been in a rum cask, the Balvenie Carribean cask is good.
