Must admit that does look like it could have lots of uses.

This looks like science fiction, it's amazing(if it works).

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

Impressive indeed.
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
Blooming heck,
Impressive if it works.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
There is one big problem with this.
Its essentially a small video projector.
That means it only works in subdued lit environments.
The alternative would be to use a top down monitor surface , which is then little different to smart glass approaches which have been around for years.
I don't see how this is better than walking around with a tablet or smart phone.
How does having to congregate around a lamp improve productivity?
Big hairy globes to it I say.
I was at a conference earlier this year where a guy was demoing something very similar, but their version was built into light bulbs that work from the ceiling. The 'bulbs' also contained microphones and speakers, so you would have this set up throughout your house with no congregation necessary.
They have something like this in our local McDonalds for the kids to play with
Tried it out and to be fair its pretty rubbish

It'll be interesting to see how I'll be able to sit on the train with my big lamp if I want to do some work.
Can you imagine the conversation with the security staff at the airport when you need to take a lamp in hand luggage?
Not exactly portable is it.......
