Saw M1 JAP on a fairly uninspiring Mitsubishi pick-up in Hampshire this morning. I imagine the plate would be reasonably desirable.

    Foggy

What's the legality on that dark tinted bike plate?

I quite like the look of them on certain vehicles but always sceptical with things like that!?

Although to be fair not much would catch you away from the lights on one of those MT-07s

I saw BEG 4 1T on a Ferrari years ago. My local Audi garage have "APPROVED". I saw a Mercedes with A 12" NOB (the " had been added, obviously). Oh, and another plumber:

Odd. Neither BEG 41T or WH05 HAT are coming up as registered to anything...?
    Perhaps my app is broke.

    I'd did like REV1T , currently residing on a 2002 BMW M3 apparently.

Even WRC cars have suspect plates these days. On Ogier’s Fiesta: X M59ORT (in non-standard font).

I think the owner may have changed their car - this was in Sytner Sunningdale when my car was last in for a service:

    A good plate ...

Saw OB 1 on a black Mercedes S-Class near Manchester. Fortunately the elderly driver had his eyes open and wasn't relying on the force.

If a number hasn’t been issued, you can ask the dvla and they’ll put it in an auction. You’ll still have to bid against anyone else who may want it though.

If it’s already been issued then they won’t reissue it.

This, i asked for a plate I used to have years ago, meant nothing at all except that I used own it on a car back in the 90’s. Told that it will be put forward for auction, eventually it got listed after waiting a few years and the bloody thing went for thousands? So much for my max 350 bid

Also you can put the number you are interested in into the DVLA website and it could simply be available.
I did that with mine and it only cost me £620.

Coincidentally, I saw 17 ONY on a car the other week and thought there must be a 7ONY about somewhere.

Considering it's a Mini One, that's pushing it to be fair!

I drive my daughters Mini One often and have never overtaken anything. Ever.

SW Sheffield is awash with single and double digit/letter combinations.

Most pass me by but I did like SV 15 FAB on a Lamborghini Aventador SV I saw parked on Ecclesall Road this lunchtime.

On the basis that's registered to a blue 2012 Range Rover, you may be right...

This thread has gone the same way as the "not classic beauties but still do it for you" thread in the boys room, where a few posts in people are putting up pictures of Gillian Anderson, Lucy Verasamy and Gwyneth bl**dy Paltrow. At least the plate on the T6 looks to be spaced properly, although it means absolutely nothing other than being an 11 plate van and is therefore of no significance to anyone other than the owner. The 993 plate is however brilliant.

With a juicy lady at the wheel it could be most fetching. Not to mention it is orange after all.

I know I'm being a grump - but to me, if its a group of letters and numbers that might possibly vaguely look like a word, it's not a good plate. It's just a reg number.
Don't get me started on the idiots who mis-space, add bolt heads etc.. etc.. - tragic tat.

Taking these two out for a run today while the weather is nice.

The plates on them won’t mean anything to anyone else, but they’re important to me
