Top one is a play on "Send Nudes".
The numberplate on the second one is trying to say "Erect".

Not really a plate but saw these two today. Some stones for the pink one but seeing the Glazing Squad in Chingford did make me laugh.

For the older forum users Blazin Squad were a boy band from Chingford who made it big back in the early 2000s.

Saw 14 A on a little Audi a couple of days ago; suspect it was worth multiple times the value of the car.

Also followed TTxx TOY on an Audi TTRS convertible too. Impressed by the car, less impressed with him parking it in a disabled bay but not displaying a blue badge :-(

May have already been posted so apologies if it has.

F1 is up for sale I guess on commission with swiftreg. If you sign up you get £200 off the £16.8m asking price.

If I’m remembering correctly it use to be owned by the owner of Kahn design and was on his Veyron.

Think, maybe 20(?) years ago, that was sold by Essex County Council.

Saw 50 ON on a C3 - got to be worth a few quid. OK not £16.8m but not sure any plate is worth that. Wonder what the council sold F1 for…..

  20. #1520
The seller wants their transfer fee of £80 back and added it to the £16m!

I was following a rather nice Bentley coupe with the registration W5 WOS in Stevenage this morning - wonder whether it's Watches of Switzerland related?

I got that one without the hint. Reminds me of watching Y110NNE being sold at a dvla auction. Spells Yvonne obviously but needs the 11 altering slightly. It fetched over £11k (probably ten to fifteen years ago) even though illegal to do so.

It’s a shame that this plate style started at 51 or TE01OUS would have been an option.

You may well be right. The T-shirt is readily available for less than twenty quid.

Couldn't tell you the first thing about snooker, but the t-shirt gave it away.

Fair enough, not where my 10k would go on a plate though.

Looks like "old" money to me, in other words they have lots of money and don't have to be brash like new money people are.

    Yet they've still misspaced it!

Imagine if DVLA decided to take that off them for displaying it illegally, mad.

No. It forms part of the estate and needs to be valued in the same way as a car, house etc

I'm sure the plate has been in the family for a while but a 308 SW suggests there's not much "old money" left. A defender or an old subaru would be different of course.

I enjoyed a 'spirited' drive out in the Boxster on Saturday, up through Ashbourne to Bakewell and back.
The B5056 is a good drive, probably evidenced by some nice motors knocking about on it, including an orange McLaren 570 with the plate "HEM 1".

Also whilst having a break in Ashbourne we saw an absolutely immaculate (so probably completely restored as it's from 1975!) Porsche 914 with the number plate "30 DRS".
That was silver letters/numbers on a black plate which looked great, but no idea whether legal at that age.

Perhaps connected with Charles Frodsham, Chronometer, Watch & Clockmakers, at 32 Bury St.?

A nice website to have a look at, anyway.

Nice raised bevelled characters on that plate, I've forgotten what they used to call that style back in the day!

There’s a lot more to that 914 than meets the eye. I would guess about £300k worth. The company behind it are worth looking at. It’s been in development for a good couple of years and is another of the new breed of restomod cars.
