They are all lovely, but I do really like that Sea horse.
A friend of mine bought some watches round home today for my perusal and I picked out these three vintage Seikos.
First off this 7006-8030 which is I guess from 1972.
Nice auto dive style with a handsome orange dial in really good nick .
Anyone know if the bracelet is original? Has Seiko Japan on the clasp.
Great looker.
BTW All these watches are "as found" and could stand a bit of a clean up but I'm pleased with all three.
Next a rare Seiko Champion 850 Sea Horse.
It has the old script style logo so I'm sure a '60's model, however unfortunately like a lot of these older Seikos the caseback logo is almost completely worn off and I can just make out the Sea Horse logo. I could probably make out more with a light and magnifier when I get round to it.
Another really nice thing. I love those old script logos.
Finally a pretty standard 7005-2000 but in really nice condition.
Serial starts with a 1 so is this a '71 model? I would think so.
Cheers,
Neil.
They are all lovely, but I do really like that Sea horse.
The first one is a real beauty.
Lovely to see these old Seikos - it must have been a really interesting visit from your friend.
first one is a beaut, birth year too! The SeaHorse is a cracker too.
All very nice those Neil, and I think spot on with the dates.
Love the 7006-8030, great looking Watch. Please let me know if you ever decide to get rid of it (hope I don't come across as a vulture when you've only just received it!)
Font on the 'Seahorse' is great, excellent pickups.
Nice trio and good to see original bracelets on a couple Neil, they are usually the hardest things to find parts for.
i like all 3.
how much did the lot cost?
If he's got any 7a38s...
Love the first one its a beaut....ideal birth watch for me
that sea horse is georgeous!

marchingontogether!
Just a postscript on the Sea Horse for those interested.
Got a lamp and a loupe on the case back yesterday and could just make out the serial which dates it to 1961, so a nice early one.
Cheers,
Neil.
