High watches - watch clubs/fractional ownership...

There's supercar clubs for those who want a few weekends driving of supercars.

There's fractional ownership schemes for yachts and aircraft.

Anyone know if there are similar schemes out there for high end watches?

I was speaking with someone the other day who can afford to buy any watch he wants up to about £500k - but even he says he's rather pay £X per month and have a choice of watches to wear for special occasions now and again.

I can see why these schemes don't exist (well, maybe they do but I don't know of any) - they're easier to steal/disappear/sell on the black market than a car or yacht or jet.

    Just a Sunday musing.

I thought there were places you could rent luxury watches from? That's a similar idea.

Heh - you're right. I was looking at ownership clubs etc and hadn't googled 'watch rental'.

It looks like an interesting idea, but ridiculous money!

The Scale of Ridiculous depends on your bank balance. Most people would pass solids at the price of some of the watches the forum members own.

The problem for most would be the deposit and maybe insurance costs on top. I'll happily rent out any of mine for a possibly non-refundable deposit on top of the rental fee in case it doesn't come back in the same condition.
It's just a matter of time...

Each time a watch came back, you'd have to take the case back off to make sure the PP mechanism hadn't been replaced by something less fabulous.
