House move has its good points...

Currently in midst of a house move. Mega stressful with having to pack up the associated gubbins of four kids.

    Not a relaxing time!

However, turned my attention to my watch shelf yesterday. Loads of old watch boxes and bits and bobs. Packing one Seiko box away and it felt a little heavy. Opened it up to realise I've got one more than I thought!

Made up for the packing a little bit!

I've got a few but none are for sale at the minute. My main one is being used for a project. Once that's been finished, I'll keep a used one for spares and one of the NOS ones just because and flog the rest.
Won't be for a while though.

Going by a lot of sales posts, I thought it was mandatory for all paperwork and boxes to be lost during house moves.

Dave, such a nice watch and a great surprise! Quite reminiscent of some Sinns this one!

While packing to move house recently, I found a couple of truly awful Musical Fidelity watches I'd forgotten I'd ever bought. Not quite such a wonderful surprise.

My move is on Sept 1st - thankfully though i dont have to move everything in one hit as i moved out of the previous house on 23rd June.

There is however the storage unit to move to the new place and thats a LOT of stuff to get on the truck.. sadly i dont think i'll find anything watch related other than Jim's apple watch II box in there which I need to send him ! unbelievably patient man he has been with my house move after he bought the watch from me

I was going through some of my old boxes and was surprised to find a couple of BLNRs and a Daytona.

    And then I woke up....

Finding watches you were unaware of, just laying around the house. That's definitely a sign of a problem :P

I thought you had a permanent project to acquire every Spork in existence?

When you have as many Sporks as Dave has, it is easy to happen:-)

Must say this is a rather nice looking Seiko Diver, surprised they no longer make this. Nice find.

It is pretty mad. If they re-issued it they could make some changes that would make it an utter winner:

    1. Sapphire crystal, preferably very gently domed on top.
    2. Machined clasp on the otherwise excellent bracelet.
    3. Upgrade the 4R15 to the 6R15 for handwinding/hacking.

If they do that, I'll buy three!!!

PS Dear Seiko, you can send my cheque now.

Be careful, it's so easy to Mis-place all the boxes and papers in a house move. It happens all the time!

Edit: just noticed it's already been posted!

I must admit I never felt this piece, I bought one and returned it after one week. The hype surrounding it must mean I was wrong!

They've reissued a couple recently so I'm hopeful. Possibly with the Prospex branding. Or a PADI one.

Moving is a major pain. Finding something like that is great. I've move too many times and rather than finding lost things I seam to be losing stuff with each move (thankfully) not watches.

You know, re-reading this thread, I can remember there was a time long ago when he only had 5. I wonder how many more will turn up as the rest of the boxes are unpacked.

It's happened to me a few times, but less moving around and more tidying up the mess that is my closet!

Can't beat finding a watch you have forgot about, even more so when it's a spork!
