    2 years worth of batteries

I guess the next fun job will be figuring out how to get them to the recycling company now that Royal Mail wont let me post them

I was hoping this was 'guess the number of batteries and win a Seiko'.

There used to be a couple of guys that traveled the country from top to bottom buying them over the counter, haven't seen either for years though

Don't most supermarkets have a battery recycling bin inside?

They do, but most of these are silver oxide batteries so there will be value in the bag, last time I had a clear-out there was about £85 in scrap silver (and I could send by royal mail, but rules have changed)

It was D-MMEX last time but I just had an email to say they didn't handle these anymore so currently looking for another recycler (think Crown refining will take them, will email them tomorrow and find out)

In my country, almost every convenience store has a bin for empty batteries, I'm really surprised there not something like that in the UK/Scotland.

Can't say I'd blame the PO given fire risk - easy for them to link up to form a high voltage pile, been there done that.

2yrs worth... WTF, do you run your TV on them or something ;-) ?
