    A Nautilus....unbelievable

I put my name down for a white Nautilus about a year ago. Got the call out of the blue today. Just like that. Collect it tomorrow. Lucky I have been selling off watches...I never expected this. And yes, i did want the white face one.
    Bit excited because so unexpected.

Congratulations, more so because you beat the 5% price rise too.

    Hope you enjoy the watch.

Having owned a Nautilus for 3 days now - you'll be very pleased. Far better in real life than photos.

Another day, another brand AD bites the dust:-)
Well done, it is my favorite color for a Nautilus.

Well, yes, I am spending some of the kitchen money. I simply never expected to get an offer on the Nautilus. If I don't take it now......Luckily my partner doesn't read forums! My plan is to delay some of the work while I busily save money. Best not to rush these things....take time and do it right etc etc.
Anyway, she just got a new wardrobe....fairs fair.

Completely out of the blue.I had forgotten ever putting my name down. I'm not really well-off enough for a Patek, but as the chance came on this one occasion.....if I hadn't sold five watches it would not have been possible. I sold them to get the ' collection' down in size. Not to buy another watch. Little did I know what was coming round the corner....

Just bin that nice Siematic kitchen you had planned and get yourself down to Wickes .
It'll be the equivalent of a homage watch-not what you hoped for but will do the job.

The plan was to simplify . Here's what was sold, mainly on SC, which , as it now turns out, makes the purchase possible.
    Three Grand Seikos.
A nice Zenith, well, make that two.
Was it worth it ? Probably not because they were fine watches. But I just had to do it.......the Nautilus was an ambush .

If the PP is only a bit of your kitchen budget, you're paying too much!

I think you have made the right decision with the watches you have sold off. The PP is another level entirely.

    Enjoy

So, back from the AD. The white/silver dial suits my tastes. Pleased.
Guess what, the AD forgot to remove some of the stickers.....clearly not trained by Rolex.

Congrats and enjoy - I considered some massive cull + money to hunt for one. Found it too bonkers to do! Well done on doing it and hope it lives up to the hype!

Thank you for the kind words, in truth I am a bit shell-shocked. Yesterday morning I never even imagined I would ever get a Nautilus. Thirty six hours later, I have one on my wrist, it has been so quick,so unexpected.
My first impression is of the sheer quality of the dial. At the price you expect extreme quality,, but don't always get it. The thing is, because of the zero depreciation, this should not be an expensive watch to own. That's the theory anyway. You can do what I did, get on a list and just forget about it. Doesn't need a deposit.

    Looks good on your wrist.
Regardless of my personal experience with it, it is an elegant, tasteful watch.
Am pleased for you. Enjoy it.

Getting on the list is the tricky part. It has been for me anyway.

  43. #43
    Well done.

Always good to get something you have always wanted.

I nice regret free purchase as well, as you can always get all your money back at the minmum.

Nice! Congrats! The goal watch for many.

What a beautiful, classy and classic watch. Well done.

My guess is that you will now catch yourself suddenly glancing at it during the day, lingering, and then wondering at its beauty.

Isn't that what owning a watch like this is all about?
