What can be more boring than a thread about boring threads? What are we hoping to achieve with such a thread?

How unbelievably wonderful these tatty old microscopic watches are just because they're even older than that jar of Marmite in the back of the top right of the pantry.

I can tolerate boring topics because everything is boring the second time round but the most dull, boring, useless, inane, pointless, and unnecessary thing is seeing this at the end of a post.

Just delete the damn thing, we all have bloody mobiles but we don't litter everything up with it.

I started a thread looking for ideas on a Rolex, glad I did as some of the suggestions were watches I wouldn't have considered. Sometimes it's nice to have other peoples input. It's a watch forum after all and some people like talking about them.

May I refer the honorable member to my recent rant on the subject in the Draft Thread? (Monday this week, I think.)

Perhaps someone highly qualified could post a list of subjects/questions allowed then people would know before they start those threads.

Those who give those with less than 250 posts grief for speed posting, when they did the very same themselves.

That is a very good idea.
But it will spoil the sneermongers fun.

    It's not for me

    Not feeling the love

    I haven't really bonded with it (it's a watch - not a baby)

Why not start a separate Rolex sub forum? It would seem it would be amply frequented.

What? Like wear a R***x? If some company made a dedicated firemans watch every "man" would buy one. There's an opening for some entrepreneur.

Maybe something for Brietling. They could call it the Fire Alarm. Red case, black dial. Comes with a little hammer. Single use only. Smash the dial and an alarm goes off to warn all those around you there's a fire. Would really impress the ladies! "He's a real man! He has a Brietling Fire Alarm!"
