    Imac help

Replaced the batteries in my track pad.
Now the imac won't recognise the track pad.
I've tried googling for help but nothing has worked so far.
    Any suggestions?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I'm on the screen with the various logins.
I get the white box that says 'attempting to connect with mouse #1.. Etc'. Then it just says 'no mouse or track pad found'.

Box just seems to cycle between these two messages

I am getting a green light on the track pad, so it does have power.

Box says 'make sure your mouse is discoverable'

    Any ideas?

    From the Apple imac community:

Take off the battery cap of the Magic Trackpad
Turn off Bluetooth on the computer (in Bluetooth Preferences)
Turn on Bluetooth on (in Bluetooth Preferences)
Replace battery cap of the Magic Trackpad
Press "+" to add a device in Bluetooth Preferences on your computer
Press, AND HOLD, the Power Button on the Magic Trackpad, AND KEEP HOLDING while green light is blinking.
    Select the Magic Trackpad
Once the Magic Trackpad is connected you may release the Power Button on the Magic Trackpad

Really, really hoped this was a misspelt hair removal thread.
