    Flickr help?

I used to use photobucket to upload my photos. I've just signed up for flickr and uploaded a couple of photos to them. Tried to do a test upload here which has failed.

Can anyone explain (in a very very basic way) how I would upload? Or do I have to pay to do this? Many thanks.

    Evening buddy.

After a great deal of PB hassle I started using this site just for uploading pics and it's a breeze.

    Trust all is good.

Here you go, this should work for you.

Go to Share photo option on the picture on flickr, it will request a size, then copy and past the code.

    https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4317/...a35af5eb_b.jpg

This is will be the bit of code you need, then post between

    [IMG]....[/IMG]

    [IMG]your code[/IMG]

two combined will allow you to post a picture, here is mine using my code above.

    hope this is of help.

Thank you. So am I right in thinking you have to type [IMG]....[IMG] every time? Then copy and paste in the middle?

Or click the Insert Image button in the editing toolbar. and paste the link to the pic in the dialog box that pops up.

Not if you choose the BBCode option. That allows you to copy a link that includes the [IMG] & [/IMG] and can be pasted, as it stands, directly into your post. It also includes a Flickr caption and URL link to your Flickr page...I generally delete one or both of those (ie anything outside the IMG info).
