    Congratulations! And as above, don't sell that classic beauty. It took me ages to find a pristine one after letting mine go a few years ago.

    Thanks so much guys.

    It wasn't an easy option as I had to do a significant drive to even see it, but the dealers description was spot on and he facetimed me to show me condition.

    I've already had 2 PMs asking if I want to sell it and I've just picked it up lol.

    Delighted!

    Same year and model as mine, proper job. Are you going to swap the bezels?

    Is yours an A serial? Does yours have SEL?

    Mine is an A7***** serial and it doesn't have SEL, but A8**** ones I've seen do have SEL, so I'm thinking I've got the last non sel.

    As for swapping bezels, I'm thinking the black won't see the light of day. However I may swap to Coke at some stage. The Pepsi is just so great.

    Let's see some photos of yours.

    Stunning, and looks like a full set!

    Did you buy it as a Pepsi version? If so, how can you tell it's a Pepsi and not originally a black or coke bezel?

    I believe the letter after the serial number tells you. If it has an A it's a Coke, B it's a Pepsi and N it's black. However mine only has serial number.

    I believe it may originally have been a Coke, but I'm not sure.

    I did really like theses and wanted one but with not having the experience with vintage pieces I ended up buying the blnr

    I just can't see myself taking it off now and my BLNR is on the winder.
    Why I have over looked this watch for all these years is beyond me (prices now so high too!)

    Hang tag tells you the answer:

    Null = Coke
    BLRO = Pepsi
    LN = Black

    Looks absolutely mint!

    Presume it's been refinished to this standard?

    That is a thing of beauty - what year is it from?

  28. #28
    Thanks guys, I believe it's had a light polish/refinish and it's a 2000 year.
    I don't see any evidence of over-polishing (not that I'm an expert by any means)

    Yes mine has SEL. Owned from new by me with everything including the AD's carrier bag. It had a service last year then back in the safe. I recently bought a '08 Explorer 2 which is my 'wearer' as it's not a full set. I'll get the GMT out and do pics soon.
    I also have a black spare bezel and I'm tempted to swap it out if I can figure how to do it
