    Seiko on a Toshi...

    Seems an odd balance, but...

Love the watch and its a really nice strap but I hope you dont mind me saying that it looks a little thick for the watch

You're right. I've got a thinner Toshi, but the missus says the colour isn't right

    As above.
A nice Horween shell cordovan would be a better match IMHO

With it being such a small watch, the straps tend to be 18/16 which look too small to me

Looks fine to me. Colour is nice too.

I tried quite a few straps on my GS and ended up with the Hirsch Siena Tuscan (mainly because it was available in 19-16mm) the Hirsch Lucca is available in 18mm i assume and may be worth a try

So logically you need a new watch to fit the thinner Toshi, another new strap for the GS, and another new watch to go on the think Toshi that's currently on the GS.

    I don't see a problem here.

    Result Yay!

You could try a Nomos strap on that. High quality and thin.

I think you should wear what you (and the wife) think looks good. There really isn't a right and wrong colour wise - we all like different things.

Toshi straps do suit Panerai the best imo, but as his gallery shows (I'm on it somewhere) there's no rules.

Colour and material fine. Strap a little on the thick and unrefined side for my eyes. The watch is quite delicate and strap selection should follow imho

I love this combination. I've got a similar strap on my vintage Connie.

Doesn't work for me. The strap(s) looks too homemade and the combination looks like suit and slippers.

I've put it back on a Hirsch but that just feels tiny, especially where it tapers to 16mm.

I looked at the Horween that zelig suggested, but that also tapers to 16mm (and is out of stock). They do an 18mm non-tapered version, but at 100 euros that's a little pricey.

^ Maybe look at an oem strap with a gs deployant? (Assuming you don't have one already)

I think Toshi's work best on a tool watch. The GS is a dress watch and needs a more delicate strap.

I've got the GS bracelet which to my eye is a little overpowering.

The OEM strap & deployant works out at over £300+ which is quite spendy.

Toshi have a fantastic range of leathers and are beautifully made - but the majority are ~ 4mm thick. OK for a lot of watches but not others.

I tend to think the thicker straps look OK on larger chunkier sports watches too
