    Retro Tissot

I was going through some of my late father's stuff and came across this little beauty

Receipt was still in the box, £125 and was purchased in 2003.

Fresh battery and away she goes.

I don't believe the OP is offering the pictured item for sale.

    It is indeed rather nice.

That looks very nice, Ben. What size is it, please?

It's is the correct forum, it's not for sale. However I do have some rather nasty Stilton in the fridge ready to list on the appropriate forum when the time comes.

Yes, it is rather nice in a modern retro sense but it is very small at 36mm x 23mm and about 8mm thick, very easy to wear.

D'oh, I skimmed over this and read the last bit wrong. I thought you were suggesting it at £125 with a fresh battery change. I'll leave the post there unless OP requests otherwise - a message to others, of the dangers of skimming posts.

On topic, thats a beautiful watch. After learning of the Reverso, I've had a bit of a thing for rectangular watches. Your father clearly had good taste.

Thanks for addong this dice - I would have hated this thread to go the way of some.

And yes, it's a lovely looking piece. Sorting through one'side parents effects is a bittersweet experience - this must have been one of the sweet momentspot Ben.

I assumed you were warning him off because he was posting a watch that is both quartz and neither Patrick Philip nor Timex (think that's the right brand, know it ends in -ex).

Took me a minute to work out what was going on around the side of the dial until I realised the glass is bevelled! Very classy.

It's very nice and classy. Does it constitute Art Deco or inspired ?

    Retro Tissot

Really nice and definitely inspired by Tissot's high quality watches from the Art Deco period.

This is the best example I could find in a hurry, from the '30s.
