    Nearly...

    Hi All,

    1st post.

Long time admirer of the Smiths PRS-25 and after much pondering, today was the day to push the button and join the other happy owners. Only to discover that Eddie's gone away. I'll have to be patient (not my strong point) and wait a few weeks. In the mean time, I'll admire everyone elses!

I ordered more a couple of months ago but cancelled the order when the price came back 40% higher than I paid in 2015. Usual movement price increases and a bad exchange rate.

    Eddie,

Any other watches running low in stock, especially those that might be discontinued? I'm thinking of the PRS-3 (non-LE), PRS-29A and PRS-40.

The PRS-3 is running low and will be discontinued when sold out.

So, having set the date in my calendar as to when Eddie was back from his travels, I went to buy a PRS-25 yesterday morning, only to find it was sold out. I wonder if by announcing that there was only 4 left, this thread actually resulted me in loosing out?

I didn't sell the last one until this afternoon so I don't know what happened there.

The site said they were available, so I added one to the basket, only to get a message to it was not available. I tried it twice and go the same result.

There is one on eBay, but already £250, with 4 days to go

If you are happy with a second hand one try a WTB, that's how I got mine

Frankly that's inflation from £245 to £380 in a few days! The winner must of Really wanted it

I wonder if that will hold as the new high water mark?

Hello all, new user here, I picked my Everest up on the 25th (direct from time factors) so I guess I was very lucky to get it! Just out of interest does anybody know how many of these were made? mine is serial number 798/15.

    Many thanks

We must have been racing to the finish line! Fantastic watch. I'm guessing that there were 800 made looking at our serial numbers! Plus I believe they made an initial run of 200 (someone please correct me if I am wrong) so 1000 would be my guess!

I have 057 from the first batch, which I ordered Dec 3rd 2011, so I reckon there were 800 made.

This is what I thought at first but your serial number is 057/11 and we know that they made 200 in that batch and the last ones sold go up to almost 800 (mine is 798/15) so that makes 1000. The thing I don't know is whether they made any more batches between 2011 and 2015? Perhaps the owner will see this and shed some light! Not that it really matters it just interests me.
