Mondaine wall clock is nice.
I need a new wall clock for the office - without getting a big yellow Seiko clock - is there anything from a watch brand that doesn't cost the earth? (Saw a great Omega one on eBay but £1500 is a little out of the budget).
Mondaine wall clock is nice.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
There are various Rolex model based clocks on Gumtree, like this:

I thought I'd seen them on eBay but just had a look and couldn't see any.
I think they are sometimes sold as dealer items but read that they are faked as widely as the watches.
They're really novel - like em

Oops!
Sorry folks - the link I posted also takes you to a fake watch site too.
Hadn't realised - thanks for the heads up Dan
Have seen a few for sale on different forums anything from £200 to £1000 depending on what make
The obvious-but-not-obvious (and very cool) thing to go for would be a vintage Smiths Sectric.
How about a not-very-practical Vostok Submarine clock? 3kg and requires winding up once a week...
Very nice but certainly not for the office? At least not for mine... May get one for the house though.
Can you confirm that it weighs 3kg? Not so child-friendly for my case if indeed...
Also, is servicing an issue?
Thanks for the Meranom alert. I checked the website and the postage cost is not exorbitant.
I've been thinking about buying a Junghans Max Bill.
Citizen have a new range

Chronomaster has this one from Sinn
Yes, it's bloody heavy. No idea about servicing - I've had mine a few years and it still runs ok.
No - the key unlocks/opens the glass door then you wind it up through the hole on the dial (just above the anchor). Exactly the same as the Smiths clock.
These are reasonably priced and have a silent movement

Smiths sectric is a great shout. Last time I looked (probably a couple of years ago now) you could get a restored bakelite for around fifty quid.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
There are two on e-bay at present.

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I have picked up two in the last few months.
The first is an Astral (trading name of Smiths) Radio Room Clock with Junghans Quartz movement.
The second was a birthday present last month. It is a Quartz RAF Outward Sector Clock. It is radio controlled, so you never need to adjust it. Originals go for between £3k and £6k, so £80 for this was a good deal. The sticker has been removed.
Sure this was only £60 new when I got it. Not always the most practical thing for telling the time but gets commented on by most people who see it.

Yes indeed, my Radio Room clocks came from eBay as I don't get much opportunity to browse other sources. That second one looks like a really nice example although the BIN is about double what I paid in a straight auction.
I suppose that maritime antique shops would be worth a rummage.
This one was also sourced from eBay, again around £200.
Not branded as such... 'Homage' wall clocks in Hong Kong Ladies' Market.
That wind up clock would get boring very quickly
Get a Max Bill wall clock. They're nice and cost around 300 Euros:

I thought you might like to see this one I found in a bric a brack shop this afternoon.
It’s got a Seiko movement that hacks,is well constructed and though plastic [i think] has shined up nicely.
It’s very quiet,I like the dial but I have no idea of its age?
Now all I need is to find a space for it I already have a clock in every room
