    Favre-Leuba coming to UK

I see in Watchpro that Favre-leuba is currently looking for UK ADs - I've never seen one of their watches - anyone own one?

Really quite taken with the Raider. I go to Mumbai from time to time and I've been quite tempted to buy one there...

I own a little Sea King which is quite nice to look at. I did quite a lot of research on the brand and they have bundles of history. Bundles can be had on eBay for £20

The new ones are a different matter entirely. There's a really good review of the Favre-Leuba Raider Harpoon on Monochrome.

Check out the video that explains their novel approach to displaying the time, as well...

They are certainly interesting. Personally I don't like the time display.....it seems overly gimmicky.

The vast majority of the cheap eBay ones have terrible redials, unfortunately. Getting an original one costs a bit more money and quite a bit of looking.

The OP is referring to new ones. However you're right, finding old ones without horrid redials is difficult...

It looks as if F-L have appointed a UK distributor - Veritime in West London.

I was quite taken by some recent design (circa 2010?), Mercury iirc, but the price band between £5-8k put me right off!
Always got the sneaky feeling they were like the re-issued Enicars - not NOS, just new, made in China....

I have spent years trying to find one of these:

I also recall owning a sea king, I remember taking it to a jewellers and the watchmaker telling me it had dual mainsprings. I was impressed at the time, not sure if it improved anything on the watch though

The first eight ADs get £10k towards marketing.

I've just checked them out, they have some sick designs, and they're not just 70s eye candy, either. I hope they do well, these are exactly the sort of watches I'd love to see more of.

Love the designs, particularly the harpoon. Like Bremont though, they all seem way too big

Err, most Bremonts are 43mm. That's not big...

Lol. It is if you've got 6 inch wrists Simon. I'd love to be able to carry off your fabulous mustard seawolf.
