    Omega Speedmaster

I have been offered a 2016 Omega Speedmaster moonwatch, it has never been worn and has all the big box etc with the bits inside. I have been offered it at £2350 is it worth this amount? would this be considered a good price and am i likely to get my money back in the future if i move it on?

It will have the Omega two year warranty. An excellent price, if in great condition as you say I would get in quick.

It depends on how well you look after it and if there is a major economic crisis or not
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Just a little dubious as the person said the cheapest on ebay was £2800 so why dont they just put it on ebay. Plus i am no expert to check it over but it looks real with all the correct boxing etc and i would keep it mint

Bought a Feb 2017 model from SC on here for £2500 in same condition so that price is very keen, I would (usual precautions apply) - that's cheap!

Buyer beware, as usual. As the old saying goes "If it's too good to be true, it probably is". Do your due diligence well.

Fees and postage may take the cost of an ebay sale to £325+ (not sure if the 10% commission plus 3.5% paypal is capped)

So seller may well consider a cash sale of around £2.4k to be a similar result with less hassle.

Is it too good to be true though £2350 i offered £2000 and he said no chance wont budge on the £2350. What i thought strange was if £2800 on ebay why not sell it their. Dom Hackett has a 2017 Speedy for £2900

I've never seen a fake that looks anything like the real one so I think it will be pretty simple to confirm whether it's genuine or not. I would be more concerned about whether it's lost/stolen at that price.

Its pretty hard to 'lose' a full set isn't it?
    Even I'm not that clumsy

Fees, yes. Not an eBay user for a long time now, but I believe buyers pay for postage and is not included in the bid price.

Postage entirely depends on seller. Can be set at 0 or at £20 in this case.

That sort of depends when it was listed - I currently have an offer on my account where I can list items for free and a final valuation fee of £1.

Good chance i may sell this in 6 months time i have always wanted one. I just do not want to lose on it and would think at £2350 i may make a profit.

Great price if its all kosher.

I paid £2.4K for mine which was a couple of months old.

Ive rented out the boxes it came in as luxury beach huts to recoup some of the outlay.

(OK, no more from me now on boxes)

That does sound a good price, can you post pictures on here so some of the Omega guys can run their eyes over it?

Best way is to upload pics to 'photobucket' via their app. Then copy and paste the image link on this thread. Lemon squeezy! Take you 5 mins.

Out of interest, where were you offered the watch at this price?
    Gumtree / local pawnbrokers / Chrono24.etc?
Wondering if the deal does turn out to be too good to be true, will you be able to recover your money?
Sounds like this deal will require some due diligence :)

V long term member? Strong feedback? £2200 would be a great price but seller would need to be desperate!

You can want to pay whatever you like but £2350 is an excellent price and if he lets it go for less he's being foolish.
It's £150 and you will lose out on a good buy.

It's worth £2500 happily. It should sell easily at £2350 and if you want one you're not likely to get one cheaper.

In fact many people here are members on Pistonheads, so if you want it, I'd be fast if I were you.

If you're worried about dealing by post, use an escrow service like Transpact who will hold the funds until you have the watch in your hands and approve transfer of the money to the seller.

I've got one on order from a grey dealer and the price is £2500 which I'm very happy with. That's a bargain at £2350

..looks like people climbed all over that one, it was a bargain, not a typical price IMO

Wasn't Ryan selling them for less than that? Not sure how many have taken him up on it, but I'm guessing around 39 to 42

Is anyone else reading this and struggling to see why OP doesn't have the watch on his wrist at £2,350 right now? Great watch, great price (if kosher) I would have bought by now and had a smile on my face.

Good deals do come along from time to time, there was a superb moon watch on SC yesterday for under £2k that sold in two minutes.

If you're using the TZ-UK app on your iPhone it's very simple to send pics in my experience. There's a small camera looking icon above the text bar and it will ask to access your pics, click yes and bobs your uncle....
