There's a story for the pub!

Its amazing what people get up from sometimes. When I was as comprehensive some decades ago,I was cycling home with a mate along a busy road. I turned to speak to him and he had vanished....a passing bus had caught him, sucked him and his bike underneath and then dragged him about 200 yards up the road before depositing him out the back of the bus. Several people rushed up expecting the worst only to see him get up right as rain bar a few scratches & bruises,a mangled bike and cracked specs.

    Whooa! Lucky indeed.

Looked like his head cracked the windscreen, also lucky that no-one was walking along the path as the bus hit the buildings.

"No arrests have been made. Reading Buses say it was an awful incident which is being investigated internally"...?

    Update: Link:

Both pedestrians struck by the debris were taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for further treatment.

The police cordoned off the street, as witnesses gathered in the graveyard of the church.

Jesus. Difficult to understand how that impact hasn't caused serious harm.

Haha I've been to the purple turtle years ago when I was knocking of a bird from Reading Uni, can't remember much of it, don't even recognise the road!

    Another (antipodean) one:

I guess the two guys on the benches were too far gone to do anything useful? It being "late at night"...
