I saw this whilst browsing earlier. It is one of the nicest ones that I have seen, especially with the steel bracelet and box and papers.

No affiliation, just a great looking watch.
So, chopping and changing collection, but mainly looking to slim down! Hence, would like some options for a sporty piece to replace amongst others my SKX.
Budget up to £2k, but more than happy with options for just a few hundred. My initial consideration was the 62MAS and Rado Captain Cook reissues and an Oris Sixty-Five 40mm as well as, shock, being drawn to a Breiling Aerospace!
Important bits
New or used.
Quartz or Auto.
37mm up to a 41mm max (or wears smaller due to lugs)
Something that I can wear with some coloured rubber straps. For proper summer casual, but a quick swap to black rubber or bracelet can be worn in my office environment - jeans and smart shirt.
Simple uncluttered dial.
Min 100m water resist.
Less important
Splash of colour on dial / bezel / hands
Would prefer auto without date, but quartz with.
GMT / UHT
Historic importance / Cult following
Go.

a slightly larger (42mm) omega planet ocean, preferably the one with the orange bezel (to add some colour).
I think it is cool, can combine it with several types of straps, can find it at low 2k maximum (2nd hand).
PRS-82 meets all the important stuff, and a couple of the less important, nicely under budget.
I think you've got it with the Captain Cook reissue, perfect size, long power reserve, heritage, tough with ceramic dial, interest from the rotating anchor logo on the dial. 62MAS reissue would have been ideal but too expensive and probably too hard to find as well.
A preowned Omega SMP is within reach at this budget.
Omega SMP fits the bill

Definitely an SMP unless you can sneak a PO 2500 movement (Slimner case). Both are often perceived best quality available at this level (with good reason) if you like Breitlings busier dials they will be available 2nd hand as well. Personally though if I wasn't looking to build a collection it would be Omega first in the pecking order.
