    Rolex - basic query re bezel removal

    EDIT: I've just seen a few vids online.... no way am I going to tackle this! I will scratch/mess things up for sure. Will send off to watchmaker for proper removal.

    I have done it to my 16710 twice. With the proper safeguard by placing a layer of tape at the contact area before you start, and be careful not to lose the spring when the bezel is prised open, you should be able to get the job done without any harm to the watch.

    RSC in London will swap your bezel and give you back the old part for £55. It's even cheaper if you give up the old insert.

    Is that so? That is really nice. The ones in Singapore and Indonesia take in the old ones will only provide you a new one if you surrender the old one.

    Is it also possible then to purchase more than one from the London RSC?

    I believe they have to fit it. So depends how many watches you have!

    Thanks. I want to remove it to send away yo be be engraved so just removal and eventual re-fit. I will ask a watchmaker nicely.
