    The North Coast 500

This is growing massively in popularity.
Try this if you are planning to do it, or just for inspiration.

This has been great for the area, I've never seen so many super cars up here 😀
I've got a holiday house in Dundonnell and it's been booked solid all year.
Ally if you get a chance stop in Maggies tea room in Dundonnell, you'll be well looked after and the home baking is Superb.

I'll be there 31st August and staying at the golf view. I don't have solid plans yet other than my accomodation for the trip but I'd be up for meeting some of the local highlanders if I have time

I was talking to a few guys at Grantown-On-Spey caravan park, who had real trouble booking anywhere to park a caravan or campervan on the NC500 route.
As a regular visitor into Inverness, I have noticed an enormous increase in foreign tourists - Italian, German, Dutch, American and plenty from the Far East.
Around certain tourist areas, it is hard to hear anyone speaking English!

I spent a week working in Applecross in November. Talk about windy and wild!

I'd love to go back when the weather was a bit warmer! The Bealach Na Ba is a damn spectacular road, although doing it in the dark, when it was foggy, with horizontal, driving rain probably wasn't the best way to experience it!

The Applecross Inn serves some amazing food.

We dined at the Applecross in last year when we did the NC on a motorcycle. The seafood was stunning.

We did it May in our campervan and really enjoyed it, we've also spent quite a bit of time along the west coast up to Ullapool. I'd recommend it it's great.

It is as busy as I've ever seen it Andrew, with people coming from all over the place just to do the NC 500.
A lot of the campervans just seem to stop at parking places, Corrieshalloch gorge is always a popular spot.
