..eBay purchase, should I be thinking it's a fake?

Didn't even consider this might be a fake but what do people think here?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152588626057

..paid via PP, didn't know there was much of a line in fake Tags as they're relatively low rent but interested to know if I should be worried. Seemed like a good price to me.

    Cheers!

Vendor has a decent feedback profile. Doesn't look like a scammers feedback trail. (I.e. - 20 low value items in last 2 months).

I reckon you would be unlucky and if you were unlucky he won't want to loose the feedback he has built up.

Be careful with the crown when changing the time ....
Notorious as being a weak part of the TAG

Lovely looking watch tho. Hope it works out well for you

There is nothing here to suggest a fake. It looks a decent listing from an okay seller.

Is there something specific that concerns you?

Thanks all. Nothing specific worrying me just seemed like perhaps too cheap but then I don't know a lot a about tag values. Just seemed like a nice alternative to a SmpC for a lot less cash.

Can't see the warranty card which makes me think it won't be included

IMO, at the price, I wouldn't think that it is cheap for this model.

Buy the seller as always, bear in mind these are faked and faked very well so do due diligence on it when it arrives (ie check serials against cards and if you have to get back opened to check they match on movement too)

The things the high-end fake manufacturers are doing these days, we have to incorporate a lot more checks, including like you mentioned, checking the movement.

There is a case in Singapore recently where second hand dealers were duped into accepting fake Cartier and Chopard watches, with matching box and papers. The perpetuators were eventually caught and sentenced.

Nothing to worry about IMO, watch shown is legit and the price is about right for a used model on a strap

not really, still haven't seen a fake TH that isn't easy to spot, they are still massed produced with glaring errors and the same serial numbers

    Remember to post some wristshots!

..came with original receipt, buyer paid £1k, that was good haggling IMO. Even though it's _only_ a Tag £850 off RRP is pretty good for an AD discount no?

    Cheers,
    Adam

    Initial impressions:

    - Ceramic bezel is very nice indeed
    - Lume is great
    - Somehow feels quite a lot smaller on the wrist than my SMP, but some of that might be down to the strap
    - Tag springbars are sh*te
    - It looks good on a Nato! Have a bond on order, tried my Speedie nato on it but didn't like to mix brands :-)

..given unlimited funds I would probably still go for a SMPc, but this is approx 1/2 the price (used comparison)

Surprised it feels much smaller than SMP. The original buyer did I indeed get a bargain. Must've been a new year or end of line sale!

Congrats. Unlikely it's haggling. Could be AD offering a good discount for a good old loyal customer or some other promotional event. Either way it's a huge % off the RRP (assuming the stated RRP is correct), and you benefitted indirectly from it.
