TMS will never be the same without Blowers.
Henry Blofeld will retire from BBC Radio 4's Test Match Special after 45 years in the commentary box.
The 77-year-old will broadcast on the show for the final time when England host West Indies on 7 September...
"Listeners will now be relieved to know that their chances of being told the right name of the fielders at third man and fine leg have greatly increased.
"I hope some will be sad that they will now hear less about the lifestyles of pigeons, seagulls and helicopters, although I fear the general feeling will be one of huge relief."
I just think it's nice that he had a second career after all that world domination malarky.
I am sure he will enjoy his retirement and maybe take the time to build that huge ray gun he always promised himself.
So clever my foot fell off.
You will be missed.
A real shame, he's the most colourful character in Cricket
Love listening to him on the TMS.

He's a one off. I can easily listen to him all day though.
The voice of cricket.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
He is to cricket what Murray Walker was to F1. I've no interest in cricket but he was an entertaining listen.
A true legend, such a shame, met him a couple of times in his daughters pub, which has sadly now closed too.
Although Agers has stepped up in the last few years so think it will be in safe hands
Saw him do a talk with Aggers at my local theatre…. Was relentlessly anecdotal in the best way!!! Absolute legend and will be sorely missed.
For as long as I can remember myself and some friends who have a taste for such things, refer to this:
As a bottle of Blowers. My dear old thing! :)
Aggers on Blowers
...Henry makes every ball sound like an event, describing it with such energy, vividness and a wonderful use of language.
He also realises the importance of going beyond the narrow perspective of what is happening in the middle, bringing a PG Wodehouse flavour to proceedings...
Saw him on Andrew Marr this morn. He looked like he was going off to do community service later due to what he was wearing. Colourful character doesn't describe it
He was out for lunch and then commentating on a charity cricket match I was at on Sunday afternoon.
I've met him a few times at events and he's always entertaining, and gives commentating his full effort no matter what the match is.
Definitely will be missed.
