Darn it can't find my V5!

That's annoying :-( Booked in with WBAC for Friday am only to find the V5 has vanished :-( Spent an hour searching at home and my office desk to no avail; got a feeling it never arrived.

Not a big issue, £25 from DVLA over the phone, but now I have to redo the WBAC thing and hope the price offered is the same :-(

    Just wanted a moan - for a change ;-)

I can't find my mot cert anywhere. No biggy. Car is booked in this week and I'll just lose a few days off the next one.
But I went to renew my tax online and it says they can't find a record of my mot.
So I checked my mot online and they have a record of it there.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

You'll not lose any of your remaining time with your current mot.

It's all done online now and you don't need to take your old certificate along.

I don't think that's the issue Dave. I thought if you brought your old cert along, your new cert starts from the day of expiry of the old cert. If you don't have the old cert, then I thought the new cert started from the day of testing?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

    Double annoyance!

The dealer never sent off the change of ownership slip :-(

So a month now to get a new V5 :-(

So it's been pointed out to me, because I never got the V5 then there's never been a change of ownership so makes you think... what about any speeding tickets over the last 6 months?!

It's all done online now. They have the information as to when your current mot expires so the new one will start the day after.

ok cheers dave. I'm just at a loss as to why my mot shows on the online mot register but not on the one for renewing tax.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Don't you have a bit to send off as well? If the DVLA had received your part of the form and not seller's they should have contacted you about the discrepancy.

Not any more - nobody has to send off anything. All can be done online.

No... I 'assumed' it was in the pile of paper work I got with the car :-(

I know... stupid and I won't do it again. An expensive mistake :-(

Car tax no longer carries on with ownership change either. You get a refund as the seller on any remainder and the purchaser needs to buy a new car tax.

Might Be worth putting up what car you've got and price- WBAC 9 times out 10 will offer behind market value as they put all their car through Auction- you never know might get more on here

More than welcome to PM me the car and what price they came up with, I'll tell you whether it's a decent price or not( been in the trade 20 years)
