I thought the Rolex pens were promotional items and not a luxury pen in their own right?
If bragging rights are your thing I'd say the Montblanc wins.
So on Friday I was at a car dealership looking at a car that I was buying when we sat down with the sales guy I noticed he had a rather nice bulova watch that I asked about then he asks me about my tag Monaco , also when it came to signing the paper work etc he handed me his pen a mount blanc I said nice pen but it's ok I have my own pen in my pocket a Rolex pen that I have had Little while we both then went from taking watches to talking pens finally after about an hour and a few looks from the wife we finished are business
So I thinks it's fair to say watches pens and cars seems to be part of the parcel

Yep promotion pen but still a conversational point , not bragging just saying watches and pens semis to be something that a lot of people collect
Was either of you wearing shoes, shirts, glasses, or carrying a wallet, or...
"A man of little significance"
Do not forget hats.

All members of watch fora wear size 8 shoes. Fact.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
Watches are good to collect.

I'm just going to say I agree with you OP.
I've noticed much the same too.
Though I'd never touch an MB pen if I could help it because it remains the very tedious default choice of the unimaginative.
I don't like the F1 bracelet on the monaco, would look 1000 times better on a rallye, plain leather or alligator
And Mercedes keys are quite common within the watch and pen fraternity too 😉👍
