Is it Rolex ?
Hi there ...
I know some people are happy to have their watches to have a well worn look ... I'd rather not ... so looking for recommendations for someone to polish mine please and a couple of scuffs on the bezel.
I have asked David (j111dja) in the past - he's not doing this for now.
Thanks
Ian
Is it Rolex ?
Send it to Seth at thewatchdealer , they do lots of bracelet tightening restorations etc
Quick update ...
My Panerai is back already!
Seth has turned my scuffed up 392 into something like new.
Top work.
Milgauss is next - expect this might be more of a challenge.

Can't see the pics (and I really want to).
Can't see them either, and I want to see them too!
I think the URLs I get from google photos are too long ... let's try again with shortened URLs ...

Not wishing to piss on the OP's fireworks, but I have to agree with the above comments.
It is possible to get an excellent brushed finish by hand but it's not easy. The finishing HAS to be done in one direction only and even then it's tricky.
Masking is an extremely fiddly job but it has to be right otherwise there will be faults.
Frankly, I wouldn`t be happy with this and I`d take it back. This looks a bit like a rushed job to me. Whoever's done it hasn`t inspected the job carefully.

Seth has seen this and has asked to take another look.
Wow that's pretty poor. Got me concerned now as I have something with him now.
Has anybody self polished desk diver marks off of a polished centre link strap with Cape Cod cloths?
I would be keen to hear such experiences.

Cape Cod cloths are OK for very fine scratches but not for anything deeper. They'll soften the edges of a scratch and make it less noticable but that's about all.
Here's my advice: Look on Cousins website and find Bergeon buff sticks. Buy a couple. Buy a tube of Solvol Autosol metal polish from your local Halfords.
Mask up the brushed areas, then polish the centre links using the metal polish on a buff stick. Inspect the finish using a magnifier, you'll see the deeper scratches disappearing. Finally, wipe the links with the Cape Cod to leave a residue of polish, then using the other fresh buff stick polish the link to a mirror finish. Alternatively, use a Selvit cloth for the final polish. Selvit cloths are also available from Cousins.
Trust me, this works. Clean the buff sticks by scraping gently with a knife blade then wiping with white spirit.
I find the latest Cape Cod cloths leave fine scratches, the material is harsher than it used to be, that's why I don't use them as I once did.
Prior to this procedure, deeper scratches can be removed by using fine wet and dry paper wrapped around a flat hard rubber block, finishing with 3000 grit used wet then moving on to metal polish.

Any idea how to get marks out of brushed parts of the bracelet?
I've got a desk and has the usual scuffs allover

Here's the Milgauss after Seth took another look at it.
The finish on the brushed parts is now much finer in my opinion - looks much better to me.

Looks much better , they do good work and I was surprised by the original pictures but I guess everyone is allowed an off day once in a while!
