Winners Announced - Cancer Charities Raffle - TWO Urban Chronographs + Harrison books

Update - I'm adding a mystery bespoke third place prize in recognition of the tremendous support.

The prizes will be awarded in the following order as Laura draws the tickets on Saturday at 6pm (BST):

    1. 'Build Your Own' Urban Chronograph
    2. 'Build Your Own' Urban Chronograph
    3. * Mystery Bespoke Third Prize *
    4. 'Harrison' by Jonathan Betts
    5. 'Harrison' by Jonathan Betts
    6. 'Harrison' by Jonathan Betts

We were overwhelmed by the response to Laura's first TZ-UK fundraising raffle in support of two of the charities that have supported us through Laura’s battle with cancer. Now it’s time for another. If you like the look of one of these, or would just like to do something to help seriously ill children, please read on…

Children with Cancer UK fund research into safe and effective treatments for the many unique childhood cancers. Without this Laura might not be with us today. They also support a large number of welfare projects that provide immensely valuable practical support to young cancer patients and their families. Make-A-Wish needs little introduction. They gave Laura something to focus on and look forward to during her months of gruelling treatment.

To take part, please post in this thread and make a discretionary donation[1] of £5 per entry[2] to Laura’s new fundraising page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Some...ial/Lauraswish

Please include your TZ-UK user name in the comments if it's not obvious. I’ll maintain a list of the participants here and will let this run until 24 June to maximise the fundraising potential. Laura will personally draw the winner.

The two winners will each receive a Unique Coupon Code worth US$295 for a 'Build Your Own' Urban Chronograph from Undone along with all of the necessary details to place the order. These now retail at US$295 - US$335 depending on printing options. The case, dial, hands, strap and personal printing (if wanted) are all fully customisable and there are a great number of possibilities with options including 4 case finishes, 23 dial designs, 3 handsets styles in 9 colours and 27 straps. The configurator with all of the options can be found here: https://www.undone.watch/watch/custo.../urban-vintage

If there are any additional costs for personalisation or postage, I will cover them. The coupon is transferrable, so the winner is completely free to sell it on or give it away. If this is not your kind of thing, I bet you know someone who would enjoy it.

The founder of Undone is the well respected Michael Young. There is a thread with some nice photographs and comments here: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...hael-Young-(HK) and a recent review on ABTW here: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/undone-u...-watch-review/

There are three consolation prizes of brand new copies of the excellent little Jonathan Betts book on John Harrison.

    Thanks for your time, Matthew

I don't think it's quite worth the effort and it would be bending the rules a bit too much to my liking.

Absolutely brilliant response today, donations easily topped £200 and I think that there are a couple still in the pipeline. I'll have to see if I can rustle up a runners-up prize.

    Yes, all good thank you.

We had the all clear after his treatment finished in February, rang the bell and everything.

He have since had an MRI and is still all clear, which is a relief!

I'm in for three. Don't know what I'm in with a shot of winning as the photo's are blocked by the works IT police - but that's not really important. Sounds interesting and I'm always happy to contribute to a charity that is close to my heart.

A nudge up from Page 2, and to add that the coupon is fully transferrable so the winner is completely free to sell it on or give it away.

If this is not your kind of thing, I bet you know someone who would enjoy it. My kids have had a lot of fun playing with the configurator. There are a lot of options, it is easy to miss the various sub-menus under Dial, Hands and Strap.

Thanks, Antti you are a real gent.

For those enjoying an evening out, for the price of your next drink or two you can make a real difference to a child going through a very tough time.

Visitors to Laura's fundraiser page might spot an extremely generous donation by one of our members. We are very moved and very grateful.

In the light of the fantastic total raised so far, I'm adding a second 'Build Your Own' Urban Chronograph to the prize pot, so every ticket has double the chance of winning.

    Thanks again,

    Matthew

Great stuff all, thanks again for the support.

I'm heading off now for a few days and internet will definitely be hit-and-miss, but I'll update this thread whenever I get a chance. I'll be back before the weekend, all being well, to organise Laura making the draw.

    Cheers, Matthew

EDIT - of course I meant 6, somehow I had in my head they were £10 each, not £5. Kindly corrected by Matthew
