I'm not aware of watches being specifically made for different races or religions, but they are specifically made for ladies.

I was not intending to be sexist in the original post. Sorry if it came over like that. In the shops you see so many ladies watches, so I was interested to see what ladies who are actually into watches prefer as opposed to those who are only into them for the jewellery aspect. Of course most men are only into watches for the jewellery aspect but would never admit it. I am about 80% but I'm also into the engineering as well.

And suspecting there may be very few lady members, I tried to say it in a light hearted way.

I think many members here take everything anyone says way too seriously. The forum is full of stupid threads like "What watch do I wear XXXXXX" so I thought this was the norm.

I must congratulate Verv on her reply. Brilliant!

Well, ok, fair enough, I accept that there are watches made for women while probably none made specifically for black people.

However, women's watches are usually dainty little blingy crap and the thing with the women we have here is that, in common with the guys, they appreciate the craftsmanship and design of proper watches.

Take verv for instance, her watches aren't the blingy dainty crap, she contributes to this forum as a member of the forum and not a female member of the forum. That's an important distinction to make; the women here are on a par with the men and to call them out specifically is patronising nonsense.

In that regard, you're being sexist, the gateway drug to racist, so I stand by my original comment, what's next? Black people, show us your watches?
